Integrated Reporting Systems Design

Fund administration technology for the partnerships of CGP GP FUND I LP

CGP Fund designs, builds and operates the financial systems that keep investment partnerships in continuous balance. The work of this office sits in computer systems design for professional, scientific and technical services: engineered accounting ledgers, integrated reporting pipelines and workflow platforms that allow general partners to govern from one clean set of numbers instead of a shelf of fragmented spreadsheets.

The service binder

Six integrated systems, engineered as one floor

Every mandate under CGP GP FUND I LP draws on six connected systems. They are designed to share the same underlying chart, the same source documents and the same audit trail, so a figure raised in the portal reconciles by hand to the statutory return.

System 01

Partnership Accounting Systems

A disciplined general ledger built for the private fund structure. The system records the investment partnership, holds the capital schedule and the cascading waterfall, and closes each period to a balanced trial balance. Nonrecourse allocations, preferred return hurdles and offsetting fee entries are modelled in the same engine that books them, so the capital account roll never disagrees with the article line. Every month is closed only when the ledger ties to the bank statements, and the closing entry is dated, signed and preserved.

System 02

Investor Reporting Portals

Investors receive a reliable, branded window into the partnership position. The portal shows the committed capital, the contributed total, the current NAV and the historical capital account rolls, each drawn live from the balanced ledger rather than from a manually refreshed memo. Limited partners download quarterly statements, tax letters and capital account notices in one place. Because the portal reads the same organised books the office uses, a question posed in writing can be answered from the record without a second system of untrusted numbers.

System 03

Capital Call and Distribution Engines

The engine drafts draw notices against the committed schedule, applies the general partner determined ratio, and dates each capital call to the required notice window. Receipts reconcile automatically the day funds arrive, and distributions compute carried interest and preferred return before authorisation. The general partner reviews a single consolidated schedule with one approval step, never scattered workbooks. Notices are stored beside their receipts, so the audit can trace each served call forward to the posted receipt in a straight line.

System 04

Portfolio Data Aggregation

Valuations are assembled from many sources and reconciled into one defensible schedule. The platform collects fair value papers, custodian statements and manager marks, deduplicates conflicting entries, and ties every carried position to the posted ledger row. A master valuation memo reconciles to the general ledger to the cent and carries a methodology note an auditor can read without a follow up call. When the year end comes the schedule, the source paper and the entry already sit in the same binder.

System 05

Compliance and Audit Trail Platforms

Regulatory reporting begins with a trustworthy record. Each system assignment creates a dated entry, a referenced source and the name of the entering officer, all preserved so no posting can be silently changed. The platform assembles statutory work papers, reconciliation schedules and signed consents in order, and gives the auditor a read only lane into the same archive. A compliance year closes the way a ledger month closes: signed, sealed and filed on time.

System 06

Document Vault and E-Sign Workflows

Every paper that touches the ledger has a numbered home. Subscription documents, executed capital call consents, fund agreements and signed filings are indexed to the exact period they affect, version-marked and permanently preserved in a controlled vault. E-sign workflows move consent requests through the general partner and back with a complete audit of who signed and when. Documents are found in minutes, retained for the statutory term and produced with full confidence when a counterparty or regulator asks to see them.

How the office runs

From signed mandate to closed and sealed quarter

One procedural path shapes every engagement, so the same discipline that governs a stately single-manager vehicle scales to a wider partnership. Four steps, each producing a record the next step can trust.

One

Open the books

We read the partnership agreement, build the opening balance from signed documents and register the first folio.

Two

Run the route

Capital calls, deployments and reports travel the five stations of the quarterly route in fixed order.

Three

Close the period

The trial balance is proved, the statements are drafted and the general partner signs the closing entries.

Four

Seal and shelve

Filings post on time, the quarter is stamped Anew and the binder is shelved for the next opening.
